What a Game!!!
The energy was high. The tackles were strong. The goals? Pure excitement.
In a friendly match played at Anwar Ul Islam Model College, Agege, Ace Mariners FC and Sunshine FC gave fans a fun game that ended 2–2 on October 31, 2025.
From kickoff, both teams meant business. Ace Mariners, known for their disciplined play and creative build-up, immediately set the tone with precise passing and smart movement off the ball.



After an intense first half that tested both defences, the second half came alive. Donatus Ngozi found the breakthrough in the 48th minute after a good team move that got the fans cheering. Sunshine FC later found an equalizer, but the Ace Mariners weren’t done. Substitute Kehinde Adebayo came on and scored in the 72nd minute, giving the team the lead once again.
Sunshine FC pushed hard and managed to score late, ending the game 2–2. It was a tough, entertaining match that showed the fighting spirit of the Mariners.



Coach’s Corner
“It was a solid test for the boys,” said the Ace Mariners head coach after the game. “We showed good character, especially after going behind. The team is improving with every match and these are the kinds of games that build confidence and unity.”






What’s Next?
The team will keep training and preparing for upcoming matches. The goal is to stay consistent and keep building chemistry.
